Creating a Virtual Field Trip

Procedure

Visit one or both of the search engines below and type your selected author in the search box. Review the sites that Bess allows you to visit and find as much good information about your author that you can. Remember the CARS Evaluation and make sure the sites you choose are good sites to send others to.

Go into your School Page account and Add a New Page and name it your choosen author's last name and the letters VFT. For example, if I was to choose Jane Yolen, my new page would be called Yolen VFT. Choose as your layout TOC or Table of Contents. This design will allow you to list many links. Remember, for each link, you should have a sentence describing what the student will see on the site you are sending them to.
